Major Requirements

A minimum of 86 credits distributed as follows:

1) Chemistry (15 credits minimum)
a) Chem 120,220,221
b) Chem 142,152 and Chem 223,224
c) Chem 142,152,162 and Chem 237,238,239
d) Chem 145,155,165 and Chem 335,336,337
Note: Labs 241,242,346,347 not required

2) Physics (8 credits minimum)
a) Phys 114,115
b) Phys 121,122
Note: Labs 117,118 not required

3) Mathematics (10 credits minimum)
a) Math 124,125
b) Math 144,145
c) Q Sci 291,292

4) Biology (15 credits minimum):
a) Biology 180, 200, 220
b) Biology 201, 202, 203

5) Introduction to Neurobiology (10 credits). Nbio 301, 302 (see following page for course descriptions)

6) Advanced courses in Neurobiology (12 credits). Nbio 401, 402, 403, 404 (NBio 301,302 must be completed prior to NBio 401)

7) Advanced Electives (16 credits). Any approved 300/400 level natural science course. Associated lab courses may be taken and count toward the 16 credit total. Students may apply up to 7 credits of Undergraduate Research toward the 16 elective credits.
