Our laboratory utilizes multi-level analyses toward understanding how the mammalian brain encode and retain new information and retrieve the acquired information. These investigations consist of employing behavioral, lesion (electrolytic, neurotoxic, reversible), intra-cerebral drug infusion, and in vitro and in vivo neurophysiological techniques. Additionally, we are investigating the effects of stress on cognitive processes such as learning and memory.
