Welcome to FIRST II for the Pacific Northwest Region.

FIRST II is a national dissemination project, centered at eight field stations, that provides long-term professional development for life science faculty. The FIRST II project will result in widespread dissemination of instructional practices and materials that give faculty the ability to help all students learn science using active learning methods and inquiry.

The Pacific Northwest regional node is housed in the Biology Department at the University of Washington. You may contact any of the members of the UW-FIRST II Field Team for information regarding the project:
